How I got started in custom leatherwork.

Back in 1998, I found myself tired from the day to day grind, and needed something new. I have always enjoyed working with my hands, and had been studying the old west cowboys.

One day I stopped into the Tandy Leather store hoping to find something I could do with my hands, and that had to do with the old west. This started my journey working with leather and making cowboy gear.

On my first trip, I picked up enough leather and tools to make my first set of cowboy cuffs. I left them on display at a cowboy equipment store to be sold on consignment. And, what do you know – they sold! The store owner took several pairs on consignment, and sold those as well. The rest, as they say, is history.

In 2002, I retired, and was able to turn my part-time hobby into an everyday experience.
